I went to the pre-opening of TSUMUJI Monnaka.

For some reason, I went to TSUMUJI Monnaka during its pre-opening.

I wanted to visit all the floors, but due to time constraints,

I ate Ajifurai at “Ajifurai Teshio”.

A set meal made with three-quarters of horse mackerel, available only on weekdays.

First, I had a salad.

the first salad that came out

The salad with crunchy seaweed was delicious.

It goes perfectly with sesame dressing.

Stylish miso soup bowl

Next came miso soup.

The miso soup bowl is so stylish that you wouldn’t even think it was miso soup just by looking at it.

Red miso soup

When I opened the lid, I was a little relieved and thought, “Oh, it’s miso soup.” lol

The wheat gluten is also stylish.

The red soup stock is also delicious.

fluffy rice

The rice was also fluffy and delicious.

The horse mackerel hasn’t arrived yet, but I feel like I can eat just the rice and miso soup.

soy sauce seasoning set

For Ajifurai, you can choose between a soy sauce seasoning set or a salt seasoning set.

This is a soy sauce seasoning set.

  • Soy sauce on the right
  • With ginger in the middle
  • On the left is grated maple leaves

It is also recommended to add wasabi to the soy sauce on the right.

salt seasoning set

Since we went with two people this time, we also received the salt set.

  • salt on the right
  • Salt in the middle
  • On the left is grated radish
  • Top right is Tentsuyu
  • Top left is grated yuzu

The fried horse mackerel has finally arrived.

First piece of fried horse mackerel using coarse breadcrumbs

First, I had fried horse mackerel made with coarse breadcrumbs.

The chef explained to me that they have two types of breadcrumbs: coarse breadcrumbs and fine breadcrumbs, and I received the one that was fried in coarse breadcrumbs first.

A seasoning set was prepared, but I was told to eat the first bite as is, so I tried it without adding anything.

I took the first bite

“…Wow…delicious…!”

It was exactly what I often see in food reports: fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside.

When I tried using the seasoning set, it tasted even better.

The soy sauce tastes like a slightly spicy sashimi soy sauce, and surprisingly goes well with fried horse mackerel.

The salt is not too salty and goes well with it.

I tried dipping it in tempura sauce, and it tasted like eating tempura, probably because the batter was so crispy.

The grated yuzu had a refreshing yuzu scent when sprinkled on it. Of course, it also goes well with fried horse mackerel.

Fatty fried horse mackerel

While I was enjoying the various flavors, the next fried horse mackerel arrived.

Fried horse mackerel using fine bread crumbs

Next is fried horse mackerel using fine bread crumbs.

It was also quite delicious.

Compared to rough bread crumbs, this one has a slightly crunchy, crunchy texture.

Even when combined with the seasoning set, it strangely felt very different from the rough bread crumbs.

Personally, I liked the coarse breadcrumbs best with tempura sauce, and the finer breadcrumbs with salt.

After tasting and comparing the two types, I was asked which one I would choose next.

I wanted to try the rough bread crumbs again, so I asked for that.

2nd piece of fried horse mackerel with coarse breadcrumbs

I enjoyed the change in taste and enjoyed the change in taste as I realized that it was very different from fine bread crumbs.

After I finished eating everything, I felt a sense of wonder, wondering, “Did I eat sashimi, fried horse mackerel, or tempura?”

After that, the coffee I asked for when ordering was brought to me.

freshly brewed coffee

It looks stylish with the logo on the cup. It’s like the coffee at POND Cafe on the 1st floor.

Paper straws are sometimes a bit annoying, but I didn’t mind this type of lid being made of paper.

The coffee foam is beautiful

I don’t really know much about the taste of coffee, but I feel like it has a refined taste.

After eating Ajifurai, I took a deep breath.

There were several other types of drinks.

This time, due to time constraints, we only had a meal at Ajifurai Teshio, but there are other restaurants in TSUMUJI Monnaka.

  • Cafe “POND”
  • Cheese tart “Cheese ‘n’ cup”
  • Neapolitan pizza “riposati”
  • Bagel “GeNTLe BAGeL”

There are shops.

This time I brought some home and enjoyed it.

Click here for a report on the Cheese ‘n’ cup I took out.
