🌸[Easy even for beginners] Experience potted plants at a home improvement store! We made a cute flower pot [Konan Koto Fukagawa store]

Introduction

Wanting to enjoy spring flowers, I went to a flower arrangement event held at the nearby home improvement store, Konan Koto Fukagawa !
No reservations were required, so I was able to participate casually. I’d like to share with you what it was like.

No prior registration is required for this event . Just go to the store, tell them you want to participate, pay the participation fee, and the experience will start right away.
It’s great that you can just drop in whenever you like.

The joy of choosing your favorite flowers

In the experience, you choose four types of flowers from the 20 or so pots
lined up. This time, I chose “verbena,” “gazania,” “nemophila,” and “snapdragon.”
However, four was a little too many for the size of the pot, so I decided to plant the snapdragon separately at home instead of in the pot.

Let’s get started! Prepare the necessary tools

Following the instructions of the store attendant, prepare a shovel, gravel, gloves, and soil on your work bench .

Add soil to the pot and adjust the height

First, fill the pot with soil and test place the pot to check the height.
Adjusting the height while checking the balance is surprisingly fun!

Fills gaps and provides a secure fit

Once the height is decided, fill in the gaps with soil. The store clerk told me that
using chopsticks to fill in the gaps makes it easier for the roots to spread .

Finally finished!

It was my first time making a flower arrangement, but thanks to the advice from the shop assistant, it turned out really cute!
I’m really looking forward to growing them at home.

By the way, fill the bottom of the pot with gravel first . This is an important point for improving drainage!
